A 22-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Woodmere Boulevard and West Broadway in Woodmere.

A vehicle apparently struck a 22-year-old woman who was crossing the intersection at Woodmere Boulevard and West Broadway in Woodmere at 4:45 p.m. on Oct. 8, according to police. The woman's age was revised from earlier reports.
The extent of the woman’s injuries are unclear at this time, but she was airlifted to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow. The helicopter landed on the campus of Lawrence Woodmere Academy, which is located at 336 Woodmere Blvd.
