Woman's pocketbook stolen in Key Food parking lot

A man described as white, 19- to 22-years old, 5-feet, 5-inches to 5-feet, 7-inces tall with a thin build and light complexion wearing a black hooded sweatshirt allegedly stole a pocketbook from a woman on Feb. 14 at 3:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Key Food supermarket at 1030 Railroad Ave. in Woodmere, police said.
According to police, the woman got out of her vehicle and was walking toward the store, when she was pushed to the ground and the man allegedly grabbed the pocketbook which contained credit cards and assorted personal items.
The man fled on foot on Railroad Avenue heading toward Irving Place, but was later seen on surveillance video getting into the white Ford Econoline van he earlier got out of and left heading north on Franklin Place, police said.
Crime Stoppers is asking anyone with information about this incident to call 1-(800) 244-8477. All calls are kept confidential. There could be up to a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
