The Nassau County Traffic Safety Board checked car seats for two hours Yeshiva of South Shore in Hewlett on Sept. 20, for proper installation and to ensure they are up to date with the required safety standards. State Sen. Todd Kaninsky, a Democrat from Long Beach, who represents the Ninth Senate District, which includes the Five Towns, helped sponsor the event.
