Cindy Grosz, a Jewish activist, journalist and radio host from Woodmere will be honored for her work associated with Israeli causes by the Rachel’s Children Reclamation Foundation with the Rachel Imeinu Chesed Award, given annually to a devoted Zionist whose work in America helps Jews around the world support Rachel’s Tomb. The Tomb and its surrounding lands are one of Israel’s holiest sites and most visited landmarks.

Grosz will receive the award from personal friend State Assemblyman Dov Hikind of Brooklyn at the Manhattan Beach Jewish Center, also in Brooklyn, on Oct. 21. Joshua Wander will speak on the work of Israel advocate Ari Fuld, who was killed last month.

Her education activism is part of the evening’s theme of “Real History.” Grosz was also this year’s recipient of the National Council Of Young Israel’s Eishes Chayil Award. She was also the co-chairwoman of the Israeli Day Concert in Central Park last June.

RSVP: $50 per person, (718) 648-2610, (054) 224-2659 and (212) 470-0967 or  rachelschildren@gmail.com. A kosher buffet dinner will be served. Additional donations and journal ads supporting RCFC projects were being collected, until Oct. 17.
