The Inwood United Soccer Club’s Pink Cheetahs team finished up its season with a 2-0 victory over league champions the Port Washington Huskies. The Cheetahs missed out on second place by one point with a record of 7-3, after last season’s last place finish.

New Board of Director member Jose Serrano said that the girls played hard and learned much about teamwork and soccer this season.

Established in 2012, the Inwood United Soccer Club is a nonprofit organization made up of mostly volunteer from the community. The club offers a youth soccer development program First Kicks for both boys and girls from 4 to 16 in the fall, winter and spring. They are working on continuing with teams of young adults around 18.

“We emphasize commitment, teamwork, sportsmanship and the development of responsible young developments,” Serrano said.
