Lawrence High School math teacher wins first NASTAR award

Jessica McComsey, a math teacher at Lawrence High School, was named a winner of the inaugural Nassau BOCES NASTAR award from the Nassau Association of School Technologists for her skill in keeping her students immersed in technology during classroom learning.

NASTECH aids school district technology leaders and staff by providing them with educational software and hardware as well as access to seminars and other BOCES resources. The support packages that the association provides helps nurture collaborations between school districts that take part in the program, and aids educators in identifying and addressing common challenges to make educational and fiscally and sound technology decisions for their schools.
