Challah can come in three different forms. Braided challah is made with eggs and is the bread for Shabbos and holidays. Folklore and tradition enfold challah and it’s loaded with symbolism. Cut rectangular challah is called bulkah. Sweet tasting challahs with honey or raisins are baked for the festive holidays to help create a joyous atmosphere.
