Fair Nassau County Hibernians convene

Nassau Hibernians met to conduct organizational business and elect new officers. Hibernians from across Nassau County gathered at Mineola’s Irish-American Center to conduct the business of the county Ancient Order of Hibernians and elect and install new officers for fresh two-year terms at the group’s 37th biennial convention on June 2.
Hibernians held the original charters of the divisions that suffered the loss of deceased members since the last convention. There were Hibernians from the Five Towns, Glen Cove, Island Park, Long Beach, Rockville Centre, Wantagh, and several other county villages.
