Fair Pre-fab homes comes to Cedarhurst

The second known pre-fabricated house in Cedarhurst was installed on March 5 and 6 at 345 Washington Avenue. It was delivered as six box-shaped pieces and then assembled during that two-day span.
Village officials helped to ensure the safety of residents and motorists as street parking was prohibited during 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on both days and homeowners were provided safe access to their homes and arrangements were made for schoolchildren to be picked up and dropped off at the intersection of Washington and Fifth avenues.
The original installation date was Feb. 12 and 13, but was postponed because of a snowstorm.
