Queens men charged in Woodmere overdose

Two Queens men were arrested and charged for their alleged involvement in the fatal overdose of a Woodmere man on Aug. 23, according to Nassau County police.

An investigation by the Narcotics/Vice Squad detectives into the fatal overdose led to the arrests of Piero Russotto, 46, and Alexandro D’Angelo, 55, both of Myrtle Avenue.

The detectives arranged to meet D’Angelo at a Queens location and placed him under arrest on Aug. 29. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Russotto.


D’Angelo is charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance third-degree. Russotto is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance third-degree and criminal sale of a controlled substance third Degree.

Both will be arraigned on Aug. 30 at First District Court in Hempstead.
