Silver anniversary for Cedarhurst resident

Dr. Hanna Horowitz, of Cedarhurst, a professor in the Farmingdale State College Department of Mental Hygiene, was recognized for her 25 years at the state college. She was among several longtime faculty, staff and retirees to be honored.

Horowitz recently was the lead investigator for Farmingdale’s portion of a collaborative research study that included educators from Hofstra University and Hostos Community College in the Bronx. The studied focuses on Oral Rapid HIV testing in university-based clinics. The findings have been presented at several professional conferences. She is also a recognized expert in dental and oral anatomy, dental histology and dental anesthesia.
