The Brandeis School PTA shares he happiness of Purim

The Brandeis School Parents Association organized their annual Purim celebration by preparing the “Misholach Manot” for students, a basket of fruit that symbolizes friendship. The purpose of Purim is to celebrate the Jewish triumph over the evil they faced more than 2,000 years ago.

Purim has become a holiday to help others through charity. The Brandeis PA packaged and shipped Israeli products in support of Israel’s 70th anniversary to local members of the Brandeis school community.

The PA also hosted a costume carnival party. One of the traditions of Purim is for people to dress up as the characters from the holiday story. Children usually wear all sorts of costumes.
