Fair Carey students place at Model U.N.

Undeterred by frigid winter weather, H. Frank Carey High School’s Model United Nations team had a successful run at the University of Chicago Model U.N. in February.
Carey seniors Maria Gargiulo and Emilios Papas placed third, representing Brazil in the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. Also placing third were Michael Langis and Nick Zaromatidas, who represented Brazil in the United Nations Environment Programme. And in the World Cities Summit, Kacie Candela and Samantha Raggio placed second, representing Sao Paulo.
