Kurdziel: I enjoy drawing/sketching in my spare time; I take art classes outside of school, and I find that it helps to relieve my stress. I also enjoy doing crossword/Sudoku puzzles and reading the newspaper.

Phair: Surfing, reading, watching TV series (Game of Thrones is my favorite), playing video games.

Do you have any siblings?

Kurdziel: I have a wonderful, amazing younger sister named Josie. She is, in all honesty, my best friend. She is always supportive, and she complements my often worrisome nature with a matter-of-fact attitude.

Phair: Four older half-brothers and one younger sister in my nuclear family.

What volunteer work have you done?

Kurdziel: I have volunteered at the Long Island Children’s Museum weekly as an assistant educator. I have also tutored younger students in various subjects, including chemistry, biology, and mathematics.

Phair: I volunteered my time at various places in the community last year for the National Honor Society, but I haven’t committed my time to one particular place.
