Car theft

A man reported that unknown individual(s) broke into his vehicle and removed money from within. The theft occurred between the evening of June 18 and the morning of June 19 in Franklin Square on Pine Street.

A man reported that unknown individual(s) broke into his vehicle and removed his wallet. The incident occurred on June 19, between 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Elmont Road and Linden Blvd. in Elmont.


Suspect Arrested

On June 18, around 7 p.m. police placed Elmont resident Clarence Byrd, 51, under arrest on suspicion of shoplifting. The arrest occurred in Elmont.

Theft

A victim reported that unknown individual(s) removed a glass patio table and chairs from the backyard of Catholic Charities located on Depaul Street. The theft occurred on June 16, at approximately 2 p.m. in Elmont.

Vandalism
A victim reported that unknown individual(s) wrote the word “R.I.P.” in red spray paint on the vandalized property. This vandalism occurred between the evening of June 20 and the morning of June 21. The property is located on Rockmart Avenue in Elmont.

A man reported that unknown individual(s) damaged the side mirror of his vehicle on the driver’s side. The vandalism took place on June 19, between midnight and 7 a.m. The vehicle was located on Biltmore Avenue in Elmont.

A man reported that unknown individual(s) scratched the side of his vehicle. The incident occurred on June 21, between the hours 7 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. the following day. The vehicle was parked on Newburgh Street in Elmont.

Victim(s) reported that unknown individual(s) damaged and spray-painted their vehicles. The incident occurred between the evening of June 24 and the following morning. The vehicles were parked on Evans Avenue in Elmont.

DWI
On June 21, around 8:50 p.m., police placed Great Neck resident Michael Campbell, 43, under arrest on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. The arrest took place on Ludlam Ave. in Elmont.
