Sewanhaka Shave-Off
Courtesy of Sewanhaka Schools
Sewanhaka students get their beards trimmed and hair cut for the charity event.

Last month, Sewanhaka High School staff and students participated in a Beard and Moustache Shave-Off. Participants in the program spent up to two months growing their facial hair out for the event. Barbers from TRIMZ Barbershop in Freeport volunteered their time for the event. The event, which was organized by Sewanhaka English teacher Rob Anderson, raised over $1,500 for Prostate Cancer Research and the American Cancer Society.
