Cops: Suspect wanted in two F.S. Subway robberies

Nassau County police report that the same male suspect who is wanted in connection for robbing the Subway sandwich shop in Franklin Square by gunpoint on Sept. 23, also robbed the store on Sept. 15.

The suspect is described as an approximately 40-year-old white male who is 6-foot-2-inches with a regular build. He was wearing gloves, a black brimmed hat and had a stocking over his face.

Police previously reported that the suspect entered the deli at 679 Franklin Ave. around 8 p.m. on Sept. 23. Once inside, they said, the suspect pointed a small dark handgun at a female customer and pushed her to the rear of the shop, behind the counter. The suspect then demanded a male employee open the register, and when he did, the suspect stole an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing northbound on foot. No injuries were reported.
