Long Beach man arrested on drug charges

Arrest part of investigation by Long Island Heroin Task Force

Nassau County police arrested a Long Beach man on drug charges Monday after they discovered cocaine and other narcotics in his home.

The Police Department’s Major Case Bureau said that 46-year-old Lamb Beckerman was observed on Shore Road in Long Beach and taken into custody at 2 p.m. on outstanding charges.

The arrest was part of an investigation launched by the Freeport Police Department and Long Island Heroin Task Force.

Police executed a search warrant at Beckerman’s residence, at 830 E. Broadway, where they discovered cocaine, black opium, psilocybin, concentrated cannabis, LSD and an undetermined amount of U.S. currency, according to NCPD.

Beckerman was charged with eight counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance and 14 counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was arraigned on Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
