Children were able to stretch their STEAM skills during a coding workshop on Feb. 14, hosted by the Gold Coast Library in Glen Head. This month much of the library’s programming concentrates on the technology and engineering aspects of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics).
During the workshop young coders were introduced to coding by playing the game “Code & Go Robot Mouse,” where they built mazes and programmed robotic mice to navigate and find an elusive wedge of cheese. They also created binary code bracelets out of craft beads.
