For the love of Maya

They came out on a hot weekend to enjoy lemonade and support Maya’s Rainbow Foundation.

The Lemonade Stand held in Oceanside Aug. 13 brought out families and friends all in memory of Maya Rachel Cohen who, at 5 years old, died suddenly, from a rare, undetected heart condition.

The foundation hopes to establish a creative space called Maya’s Creative Studio at every JCC in the US.

Over 150 people raised $1,000 at the stand.

“Our vision is to nourish the freeing messiness of creativity so that one day kids in every JCC in America are touched by the possibilities that art, imagination, love and community can give them.“ Donations may be sent to: Maya’s Rainbow Foundation, and mailed to: Maya’s Rainbow Foundation, 9 Thurston Drive, Livingston, NJ 07039, or go to mayasrainbow.org.
