At the October Island Park Board of Education meeting, the Student of the Month recipients for September 2014 were announced. The Student of the Month award recognizes students at Francis X. Hegarty and Lincoln Orens Middle Schools for cooperation, leadership, community involvement, academic performance, attendance, good behavior, and a positive attitude.
