Two new Island Park businesses opened their doors last week, and another reopened after a 22-month hiatus due to Superstorm Sandy. On Saturday, the Island Park Chamber of Commerce helped cut the ceremonial ribbons, officially opening for business the Island Park Laundymat, Gran Paradiso Restaurant and Liquor and Wine Warehouse. The Island Park Laundrymat, established in 1971, is the site where Senator Chuch Shumer held his press conference the morning of Jan. 28, 2013.
