It’s opening day — Batter Up!

Island Park Little League has a day of festivities planned to kick off the new season on April 18. At 11:30 a.m. players, family, friends and coaches meet at the Island Park train station, where players will be divided up into teams and line up for the march to Shell Creek Park. The Island Park Fire Department will escort the teams to the park for opening ceremonies and flag raising. At 1 p.m. the first pitch will start the 58th season.
