Vincent Randazzo - Principal
Vincent Randazzo is the new school principal, who comes to Island Park after serving as principal of Robert F. Kennedy Community Middle School in Flushing, Queens. He also held several positions at Walter H. Crowley School of Leadership in Elmhurst, Queens including assistant principal-Administrative Assistant/Science and Technology Academic Lead and Dean of the Academy of Science and Technology.
Meghan Gallagher – Teaching Assistant
Meghan Gallagher was a student teacher at the Gotham Avenue Elementary School in Elmont. She graduated from S.U.N.Y. Cortland with a Bachelor of Childhood Education: Humanities degree. She also is an experienced lifeguard, having worked for the City of Long Beach for the past nine years.
Christine McKenna – Per Diem Substitute Teacher
Ms. McKenna taught Social Studies teacher at H. Frank Cary High School in Franklin Square, Brian Piccolo Intermediate School 53, and Harry S. Truman High School. She most recently was a per diem substitute teacher in the Wantagh School District. She graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts in History and earned a Master of Science in Secondary Education degree from St. John’s University.
Matthew Bobko - Social Studies
For the 2012-2013 school year, Matthew Bobko was a teaching assistant in Island Park. Previously, he was a substitute teacher in the Bellmore-Merrick and Massapequa Public School Districts and serves as an ice hockey clinic instructor and coach in the Town of Oyster Bay. He attended Hofstra University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Social Studies Education and a Master of Science in Special Education.
Joanne Sinatro – Clerk/Typist
Joanne Sinatro joined the Middle School staff as a clerk/typist. She previously served as administrative assistant to the principal of Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns & Rockaway High School and the headmaster of North Shore Hebrew Academy. She studied at Nassau Community College and New Horizons Computer Learning Center.
