Obituary: Irma Tice

“She gave 25 years of dedicated service to the Village willingly and unselfishly” said Island Park Mayor Michael McGinty about Irma Tice who passed away Dec. 10 at the age of 79. “she was active in her church and beloved by all,” he continued adding he was saddened that she retired six months ago and was never able to enjoy that retirement. “Like the rest of the staff,” after Sandy Storm, “ she put her own situation on hold, and worked day and night, sometimes without electric, some times till midnight.”

Funeral arrangements were by the Christopher T. Jordan funeral home, a Mass was said at the Sacred Heart RC church in Island Park and interment is at Saint Charles Cemetery in East Farmingdale, NY. Donations may be sent to: Where Angels Play,158 Bucknell Avenue, Woodbridge, NJ 07095
