Parents are finding out that teachers are not villains

My answer to that question would look at those who make money out of education reform, and that starts with Arne Duncan and the federal officials who coerced the states to accept programs such as closing “failing” schools, using test scores to fire and pay teachers and the Common Core by using Race to the Top money and No Child Left Behind money as a carrot. Then, there are the state functionaries who want the money and push the programs, constantly — three times in the last five years — change the passing grade on the standardized to “cook the books, making the same students look alternately smarter and then dumber to fit their own agenda.

And, for the first time, at least according to the latest polling data, the parents of those students are beginning to realize just who is at fault.
