Enjoy a movie at the I.P. Library

On Friday, Feb. 10 at 1:30 p.m., the Island Park Library is showing The Light Between Oceans. A lighthouse keeper and his wife living off the coast of Western Australia raise a baby that they rescued from a drifting rowboat. The film is rated PG-13, and is 133 minutes.

Celebrate the Birthday of the Trees

On Sunday, Feb. 12, from 10:30 a.m. to noon, the Oceanside Jewish Center — at 2860 Brower Ave. — invites residents and guests to a Tu B’Shevat event. Become a safer driver

Temple Avodah is offering a defensive driving class on Wednesday, Feb. 15, at 6:30 p.m. The class will save participants 10 percent on their auto insurance and allow them to receive up to a four-point reduction from their driving record. The cost is $50 per person. Participants are asked to register and pay in advance.
