For Gillibrand’s legislation to become law, it needs sponsorship in the House of Representatives, where Goldsmith and other NCC veterans have met with lawmakers. It was unclear at press time whether the House would sponsor the bill. We encourage readers to write to their congressional representatives and call on them to approve this vital measure.
