Hanukkah Party
The Congregation Bnai Israel will host a Haunukkah celebration on Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. at 91 N Bayview Ave, Freeport. The evening will stat with services, dinner and songs and lighting of candles. For more information call, 516-623-4200.

 

The Hambones Holiday Songbook
The Hambones will put some fried chicken in your soul and stir it up with a low country sound of rootsy music. Their unique musical palette will have you stomping your feet to a song list full of folk, rock, rhythm and blues, and a taste of country. Mammography Van
The Mammography Van is available to women age 40 or over, who are due for their annual mammogram. Appointments are required, and priority will be given to uninsured women over 50. The program is open to all Nassau County residents. Appointments start on Dec. 20 from 8:45 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Freeport Memorial Library, 144 West Merrick Rd., Freeport. Step outside for a winter owl prowl 
Night owls are invited to hunt garden habitat for nocturnal neighbors, at Old Westbury Gardens, Saturday, Dec. 16, 4-5 p.m. A wildlife expert from Volunteers for Wildlife brings live owls for a meet and greet and later leads the outdoor search. Bring flashlights to guide your way. Following the walk participants are welcome to visit Westbury House, decorated for Christmas, for cider and cookies and to visit Santa. Registration is required.
