A Long Beach teen was arrested in Island Park on Friday for allegedly robbing and stabbing a 15-year-old boy.

At about 4:30 p.m., Treyvon Robertson, 16, approached the male victim on California Place and demanded money, according to Nassau County police. The boy complied, but when asking for his money back and trying to retrieve it, Robertson pulled out a folding knife and stabbed the victim in the chest, detectives said.

As a struggle ensued, Robertson allegedly swung the knife around, cutting the victim's ear and wrist.

The 15-year-old was transported to a local hospital by a Nassau County ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.

Robertson was charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree assault and fourth-degree possession of a dangerous weapon. He is scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Saturday.
