After hosting its first scavenger hunt in October, the city led a "spring hunt" on May 15, in which teams of residents uncovered fun facts about Long Beach by exploring shops, restaurants and historic sights while competing for great prizes.
The Long Beach Lifers won the scavenger hunt, as Team Vultures took second place and The Game of Gnomes claimed third.
“The City of Long Beach would like to thank all of the teams and business who participated in the 2016 Long Beach Scavenger Hunt,” the city said on its Facebook page, as sponsors included Bethpage Federal Credit Union, Market NY, Sunpower by Empower and Stop and Shop. “Great job everyone -- we can't wait to see you again next year!”
