A Long Beach man was struck and killed by an SUV early Sunday morning at the intersection of Lincoln Boulevard and East Park Avenue.

Long Beach police said that the incident occurred at 1:25 a.m., when the man, 46-year-old Michael Small, was struck by a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Small was transported to Long Beach Medical Center by the Fire Department ambulance, where police said he died of his injuries.

No criminal charges were filed against the driver, whose name was not released. Police did disclose the circumstances surrounding the incident.
