Cedarhurst-based Kulanu Academy has established a new division — Medicaid Service Coordination — where a team of coordinators will help direct people with developmental disabilities to the proper support and services that improve their quality of life through customized service plans.

An experienced Medicaid service coordinator, Julie Eden will serve as supervisor of the division. “I am excited to join the professional Kulanu team,” she said. “I am fortunate to now be associated with Kulanu, which already has in place a vast array of excellent programs and services.”

Eden noted that everything families need — from a benefits and entitlements division to vocational services are available a Kulanu. “This to-notch combination ensures that our clients achieve their individual goals and capabilities, and become included members of our community.”

For the past 17 years, Kulanu has helped special-needs boys and girls and young adults navigate their way from childhood to maturity. In addition, Kulanu, Hebrew for “all of us,” also has programs for parents, guardians and special-needs adults.
