Police searching for man who allegedly raped minor in Long Beach

Long Beach and Nassau County police are searching for a 35-year-old man who allegedly raped a minor in Long Beach.

The suspect, Rafael Sanchez, is facing charges of first-degree rape, according to Nassau County Crime Stoppers.

The investigation is ongoing and police did not release additional information.

Police are asking anyone with information about Sanchez or the crime to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 244-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous, and a potential cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
