Arrests
On April 29 at 8:16 p.m., a 23-year-old Merrick man was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation (warrant) at the Long Island Rail Road station in Lynbrook.
At 12:29 a.m. on April 30, an 18-year-oldLynbrook man was arrested and charged with five counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook.
A 36-year-old West Hempstead woman was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, aggravated unlicensed operation (warrant) and uninsured motor vehicle on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook on May 2 at 10:35 a.m.
On May 4 at 6:59 a.m. a 41-year-old of St. Albans was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated unlicensed operation and unlicensed operation on Merrick Road in Lynbrook.

A 50-year-old Rockaway man, was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated unlicensed operation, failed to signal a turn, unlicensed operation and aggravated unlicensed operation (warrant) on Oak Street in Lynbrook on May 8 at 2:20 p.m.
Leaving the scene of an auto accident
At 3:08 p.m. on May 2, a complainant reported that their vehicle was struck by a dark colored SUV with two occupants while it was parked in the private parking area of 444 Merrick Road, Lynbrook. The operator of the vehicle failed to stop and make known their identity. The Lynbrook Police Detective Division is investigating.

Criminal mischief

n An unknown suspect(s) damaged the ball field at Bay Park by possibly driving an ATV on the field, tearing up the sod between 6 p.m. on May 3 and 8 a.m. on May 4.
n Between 11 a.m. on April 25 and 10 a.m. on May 2, an unknown suspect(s) damaged a vehicle’s rear window on Front Street in East Rockaway.

Petit larceny
At 12:07 p.m. on May 6, a complainant reported that their three automotive tires and rims were taken from the rear of 601 Merrick Road, Lynbrook. The tires and rims are valued at $900. The Lynbrook Police Detective Division is investigating.
