In addition, the defendant is being charged with robbery and menacing that occurred on previous dates. The first incident occurred on May 7 at 1:40 p.m. at the Red Roof Inn, 699 Dibble Drive, in East Garden City. During that incident Leazer entered the room of a 20-year-old female victim, while displaying a black handgun. He ordered the victim to lie on the floor and demanded her money. When the subject exited the room the victim locked the door. Leazer banged on the door and attempted to re-gain entry to the room. The victim then jumped out of the window and suffered serious injuries. Leazer then fled on foot with an unknown amount of currency. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
On May 14 at 8:25 p.m. Leazer knocked on the door of a 28-year-old female victim at the Best Western Hotel, located at 5080 Sunrise Highway, Massapequa Park. When the victim opened the door Leazer displayed a black handgun and began to push the victim back into the room. A male guest next door heard the commotion and exited his room causing Leazer to flee on foot. There were no injuries reported.
The investigation led to a grand jury indictment of the defendant. He was charged with one count of first-degree robbery, two counts of second-degree robbery, second-degree menacing and third-degree menacing. He was arraigned on Sept. 26 at First District Court in Hempstead.


Arrests
On Sept. 23 at 4:20 a.m., a 22-year-old of Valley Stream was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated on Merrick Road in Lynbrook.
A 28-year-old  Lynbrook was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on Langdon Place in Lynbrook on Sept. 25 at 8:33 p.m.


Petit larceny/criminal mischief

On Sept. 22 at 11:44 p.m., a complainant reported that an unknown person(s) broke the front passenger window of their 2011 Infiniti G37X and removed their Apple iPhone 5 from the vehicle. The vehicle was parked at Sportime, located at 175 Merrick Road in Lynbrook. The total amount of the loss and damage is $1,200.
