For the third year, the Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce has announced that funds raised at their Thursday night car show on July 31 will be donated to the Lynbrook Fire Department, specifically for Nassau County Firefighters Operation Wounded Warrior. The Lynbrook Fire Department is an active member of Nassau County Firefighters Operation Wounded Warrior, a 501(C) non-profit organization, and which is celebrating their 10th year of helping our wounded warriors. The Lynbrook Fire Department will be at the event and will have two antique fire trucks on display. They will also be selling the new Operation Wounded Warrior 10th Anniversary T-shirts. The LFD will also hold a benefit double-header softball game on Saturday, Sept. 13 at Greis Park, and a block party and Community Concert for the Troops on Saturday, Sept. 20. All money raised will also go to Nassau County Firefighters Operation Wounded Warrior.

"We appreciate the efforts of our Chamber of Commerce to help in our efforts to improve the lives of our wounded warriors," said Ex-Chief Kevin Bien, chairman of the LFD's fundraising effort.
