The annual Friendship Games between Lynbrook and East Rockaway took place last Saturday in the gym at Lynbrook High School. In the opening boys’ basketball game, Lynbrook picked up a 55-45 victory behind the three-point shooting of Frank Boni, who hit six shots from downtown for a team-high 18 points. Ryan Candel added nine points, Justin Rubin had eight, and Armin Cekic had six points and 10 rebounds. The Rocks got a game-high 22 points from Danny Fusco. In the girls’ game that followed, Erica Acampora (16), Kim McCann (14) and Caitlin O’Mara (11) all scored in double figures to lead the Lady Rocks over the Lady Owls, 62-48. Lynbrook got a game-high 20 points from Ciara Gordon, while Amanda DiGiorgio chipped in 10
