Boy Scouts with Valley Stream Troop 109 had the opportunity to register with the Town of Hempstead’s Child Safety I.D. Program at the Scouts’ camporee at the Village Green on June 11.
Hempstead Town Clerk Nasrin Ahmad and her staff visited the campers to take free fingerprints and photographs, and to help parents and guardians attach strands of each child’s hair to their identification file. The completed kits were given to each child’s family.
