Armchair Travel to China

Lynn Nathanson returns with an awe-inspiring slide show presentation of her travels to China. Friday, Aug. 26 at 2 p.m. at the Sandel Senior Center on 50 Park Ave., Rockville Centre.

What’s in the pond?

What's living below the surface? Visit the pond's edge to explore life in and around this amazing habitat. Dress for wading, bring sunscreen, a towel and water shoes. Registration required. The Great White Way visits Eisenhower Park in Neil Berg’s “100 Years of Broadway,” Saturday, Aug. 27. The popular nostalgia-filled musical revue, hosted by Neil Berg, on piano, showcases the best of Broadway, sung by the terrific talents who performed many of these hits on the stage. Tribute to the original “superstar”

The annual Long Island Al Jolson Festival returns to Oceanside on Saturday, Aug. 27, to honor the legacy of the great entertainer. Tony Babino brings the Jolson songs alive with his award-winning show, “The Heart of Al Jolson,” along with highlights of memorable moments from Jolson’s life and career shared by special guests.
