After Lynbrook police responded to a heroin overdose, their subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Josef Dahari, from Woodmere, on March 15.

At 1: p.m. on Wednesday, the Lynbrook officers administered Narcan to the person who overdosed and was then taken to a local hospital for treatment, police said.

About four and a half hours later, the police met Dahari, 35, in the parking lot of a CVS on Merrick Road in Lynbrook. He had 80 bags of heroin with him, according to police. Dahari allegedly resisted arrest and after a brief struggle the police handcuffed him, and found on amphetamine pill. The Nassau County Narcotics Vice Bureau assisted in the investigation and arrest.

Dahari, a Howard Avenue resident, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance-third degree; criminal sale of a controlled substance-third degree; criminal possession of a controlled substance-seventh degree and resisting arrest. He will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Thursday.
