Direct from Beijing, China’s acclaimed and influential circus troupe, the National Circus of China, visits Tilles Center for the Performing Arts, with “Cirque Chinois,” Friday, Nov. 9, at 8 p.m.

The magic and mystery of the East blends with contemporary European flair in this virtuosic evening of high-flying entertainment. All ages will marvel at the extraordinary feats of these talented artists and their signature acts, such as the Great Teeterboard, Grand Flying Trapeze and Group Contortion, which have earned them numerous international awards and renown. For nearly six decades, the circus troupe has been performing its unique style of circus and has influenced circuses the world over, including Cirque du Soleil and Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey.
