Brooklyn man charged with having fake credit cards

Lynbrook Police arrested and charged a Brooklyn man with possessing fraudulent debit and credit cards on Jan. 14 at 4:40 p.m.

According to police, Bachir Mombeleur, 32, was charged with possession of a forged instrument after officers discovered that he had several re-encoded debit and credit cards and a credit card reader. Officers noticed Mombeleur acting suspiciously while he was in a parked 2008 BMW on Stauderman and Forest avenues before they made the discovery.

Mombeleur was charged with four counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and criminal possession of a forgery device. He was arraigned on Sunday at the First District Court in Hempstead.
