“I think it’s important for people not to forget our liberties, our freedoms — they don’t occur everywhere, and we can’t take them for granted,” said Village Trustee Patricia Callahan, who added she was impressed with St. John’s dedication and focus on the project. “I hope when people see that memorial, they’ll remember that our liberties are sacred, and keep fighting for our country and remember the people that lost their lives.”
