Unsound Surf Art Show and Auction

On Saturday, June 11, Unsound Surf will hold its annual art show and auction from 5 to 9 p.m. to support the Tommy Brull Foundation. Some of the best local artists and photographers will be showing their work as those in attendance can bid on each piece through a silent auction. 'Taste of Summer Camp’ Open House


The City of Long Beach’s Department of Youth and Family Services will be hosting a “Taste of Summer Camp” Open House on Saturday, June 11 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the West End Community Center at 79 Maryland Ave. Children in kindergarten through eighth grade and their families are welcome to participate in arts and crafts, dance contests, face painting and other activities. Everyone will also have a chance to meet some of the YFS camp staff and learn more about the exciting summer trips and activities planned for the campers. Treasures by the Sea Garage Sale

On Sunday, June 12, the Long Beach Island Landmarks Association presents its Second Annual Treasures by the Sea Garage Sale and Antiques Market in Kennedy Plaza from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sellers and vendors are needed. Please call Jeanette at (516) 574-3212 or email mrsismath@aol.com.

Second Annual Kids Triathlon

Saturday, June 11 at 8 a.m. The Long Beach Department of Parks and Recreation will hold the Second Annual Kids Triathlon for children ages 5 to 13. The race consists of a pool swim, bike ride and finishes with a run. The distances vary based on the child's age group. This is a fun beginner race and a great introduction to triathlons. All participants will receive a medal after completing the event.

Arts in the Plaza

Every Saturday from May 28 through Oct. 29. Featuring handcrafted art by Long Island artists, live music, cultural performances and our Kids Art Station, Arts In The Plaza takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Kennedy Plaza.
