Epic Escape Rooms Long Island in West Hempstead held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate their one-year anniversary on Sept. 15. In addition, the company received a citation from State Assemblyman Ed Ra to commemorate their anniversary in the community.
“The West Hempstead community has welcomed us with open arms, so we’re very happy to be here,” said co-owner Cathy Dunn. “We have players anywhere from 5-6 years old to people who have celebrated their 70th birthday here.”
Epic Escape Rooms Long Island offers a variety of thrilling and challenging live escape games where each room has its own theme, and team work together to find clues, riddles, solve them and escape in 60 minutes or less. Since its inception in 2017, Dunn said they were able to expand their facility to create more escape rooms, and create more experiences for people to enjoy. Dunn explained that escape rooms are a great way to develop team building for businesses, to go along with hosting family events like birthday parties. The company has also been engaged in the community through numerous fundraisers.
“What I love the most is when I see multiple generations in my room,” she said. “With this era of people constantly using their phone, it’s an hour break from everything. We hope that we continue to meet fabulous clients that end up becoming epic family. When anybody comes here, we try to treat them like family.”
The company was also nominated for the 2019 Bethpage Best of Long Island contest. For more information on Epic Escape Rooms Long Island, visit their website at www.epicescaperoomsli.com.
