Chatterton Elementary School sixth-graders celebrate Dr. King's life

Sixth-graders at Roland Chatterton Elementary School learned about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. before his birthday is observed as a national holiday on Jan. 21. After watching a video on King's accomplishments and reading "Martin's Big Words" by Doreen Rappaport, the students reviewed the steps of drawing a portrait and recently designed their own images of civil rights movement leaders, with unique backgrounds.
