Debunking confessions: Kennedy science researcher's paper accepted at national conference
(Page 3 of 3)
Scott Brinton/Herald Life
Kennedy High School senior Rachel Abramowitz, right, with her adviser, Barbi Frank, studied false criminal confessions for her senior science project. She will present her research paper at the American Psychology Law Society’s conference in New Orleans in March.

Abramowitz said she came away from her research with two key takeaways: one, be cautious when speaking with authorities; and two, police interrogations should be videotaped.

Abramowitz is a member of the national, science and Spanish honor societies, and hopes to study clinical psychology at Cornell, Binghamton, Colgate or Washington University in St. Louis next year.
