Fun and games at chamber’s Kids Fest

Thousands of children and parents filled the parking lot at the Merrick Long Island Rail Road station between Friday and Sunday last weekend for the Merrick Chamber of Commerce’s annual Kids Fest.
The event raises funds to provide college scholarships for students at Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District high schools — Calhoun, Kennedy and Mepham — and chamber community-improvement projects. This year’s fair had rides and games galore, along with carnival food and family fun. For more, go to merrickchamber.org.
