Lastly, Curran struck a congenial note toward her new Republican colleagues. Citing the “mandate” voters had given County Executive Ed Mangano’s administration, she said maintaining across-the-aisle relationships is essential.

“I think the Democrats can forge relationships and find common ground to get what needs to be done for the people of Nassau County,” Curran said.
